The VX-2M-OD-RIAWH is a vandal dome camera engineered for reliable performance in
harsh environments. Featuring an IP68-rated enclosure, it provides superior dust and
water resistance for demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Designed to operate in
temperatures from -40°C (-40°F) to 50°C (122°F), the integrated heater supports
consistent performance across a wide range of climate conditions.
The camera supports dual video streams, enabling simultaneous high-resolution, high-
frame-rate recording and a secondary lower-resolution stream for live viewing. This
architecture helps reduce network strain while maintaining recording quality and remote
accessibility.
When paired with the VIGIL Series digital video recorders and Video Management System, point-to-point hardware compression and decompression enhance live video
streaming performance. This delivers improved video quality, supports more concurrent
streams, and lowers overall CPU consumption.
A 2.8 to 12mm varifocal lens is included as standard, providing flexible coverage across varied deployment scenarios. Infrared operation enables performance down to 0 lux, supporting reliable nighttime video capture.
