INFINIAS Mobile Credential enables convenient, secure access control by allowing authorized users to request door access with a single touch on their iPhone or Android device. Designed to enhance both usability and security, the mobile credential leverages smartphone‑based authentication and delivers real‑time visibility through Intelli‑M® Access event logs that document every mobile access attempt.
The app supports push notifications to quickly alert selected credential holders to important information. Location services allow administrators to define proximity requirements, so access is granted only when the phone is physically near the door, and the three nearest doors automatically appear on the user’s home screen. Multi‑factor authentication is also supported, enabling privileges that require device‑level unlock methods such as passcodes, biometrics, gestures, or PINs to supplement the mobile credential.
Using smartphones as credentials helps increase security by reducing the likelihood of unnoticed loss or credential sharing. Credential management is simplified as well — lost phones or terminated users can be immediately deactivated, preventing unauthorized access without needing to retrieve physical badges.
