Microsoft Windows 7 Embedded Support for 3xLOGIC Servers

Dear Valued Partner,

As always, thank you for your business and your continued support. We truly value your partnership and remain committed to providing the best products and services to meet your needs.

Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 on October 13th, 2020, including the distribution of security updates. As no security updates, patches, etc., have been released, any servers running Windows 7 Embedded could be left vulnerable to security gaps. 3xLOGIC cannot assume any responsibility for breaches of any systems exposed by this end-of-support condition.

What does this mean?

Effective January 1st, 2025, 3xLOGIC will no longer support NVR’s manufactured prior to 03/01/2019 with Windows Embedded Standard 7.  This includes VIGIL version updates, POS parser updates, or .vgl updates. The upcoming release of VIGIL v13.0, along with any patch releases, will be the last Windows 7-supported version.

3xLOGIC Technical Support will no longer assist with Windows Embedded Standard 7 server issues.

Following the 3xLOGIC end of support, any Windows 7 server will be unable to update past the upcoming release of VIGIL v13.0 software and take advantage of new features, bug fixes, and critical security updates. The server will continue to function.

What can I do?

To take advantage of new features, bug fixes, and critical updates of both VIGIL and Windows 10, a full replacement of the server is necessary.

3xLOGIC Sales can assist with an end-of-life server replacement program.  Please contact your Regional Sales Manager for more details on this special pricing.

Thank you,
