If you’re setting up or troubleshooting an EIDC+ or EIDC32 Controller, one of the things you may need is its IP address. Fortunately, these devices make this easy by displaying the IP address through its indicator lights during startup.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to quickly identify the IP address using their built-in light patterns.
Start by powering the controller using a Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection. Once powered, the device will start to boot.
The controller features lights associated with specific numbers. As the system boots, these lights will flash in a sequence that corresponds to numerical values.
During startup, the controller displays its IP address through a series of flashes.
The IP address is divided into four parts (octets). The controller flashes each octet one at a time, starting with the first and moving to the fourth.
Carefully watch the flashes for each segment and note the numbers next to them as they appear.
The EIDC+ Controller will cycle through this process three times before the startup sequence is complete.
