Configuring the Dashboard in INFINIAS CLOUD

The dashboard in INFINIAS CLOUD (introduced in version 7.1) provides a powerful new way to visualize and manage your security environment. Whether you’re monitoring access points or viewing live video feeds, the dashboard brings everything together in one intuitive interface.

In this guide, we’ll walk through how to configure your dashboard, including adding a site map, overlaying devices, and integrating live camera feeds. And check out the video tutorial over on our YouTube channel.

What is the dashboard?

The dashboard serves two primary purposes:

  1. Visualizing your environment with a site map
  2. Monitoring live camera feeds in real time

With these capabilities, you can quickly understand what’s happening across your facility and take action directly from a single screen.

Watch the tutorial:

Adding a site map

The first step in configuring your dashboard is uploading a site map, which is an image that represents your physical layout.

You can upload a site map with the following steps:

  1. Log in as an Administrator or Supervisor
  2. From the dashboard, click the Upload icon (top-left corner)
  3. Select an image file from your computer (e.g., PNG, JPG)
  4. Click Select to upload it

Once uploaded, your map will appear on the dashboard, providing a visual foundation for device overlays.

Overlaying doors on the site map

After adding your site map, you can place interactive door controls directly onto it.

Here’s how to add door overlays:

  1. Click Edit in the lower-left corner of the map
  2. Select the Door icon
  3. Click on the map where the door should be placed
  4. Choose the corresponding door from your system
  5. Repeat for additional doors
  6. Click Save

What you can do with door overlays

Once placed, each door icon allows you to:

  • Lock
  • Unlock
  • Momentarily unlock

Pro tip: If you manually unlock a door, remember to lock it again afterward. The momentary unlock option is useful for temporary access.

Adding video appliances and cameras

To display camera feeds, you’ll first need to configure a video appliance.

Access video configuration by:

  1. Click Configuration (top-right corner)
  2. Navigate to the Video tab

You can connect multiple devices such as:

  • VIGIL NVRs (via Vigil Connect)
  • Direct connections (on-prem systems)
  • VIGIL Cloud cameras

Displaying live camera feeds on the dashboard

Once cameras are configured, you can add them to the dashboard.

Follow these steps to add camera feeds:

  1. Return to the Dashboard
  2. Click on one of the camera feed panels (right side)
  3. Select a camera from the list
  4. Click Save

You now have live video displayed directly on your dashboard. You can switch cameras at any time by repeating these steps.
